Thailand is currently in stage 3 of the Demographic Transition Model. Crude birth rate is higher than death rate but it is steadily decreasing just as predicted in the population pyramid. In a few year time birth rate and death rate will be balance with each other advancing Thailand into stage 4 of the DTM.
1995: In 1995 Thailand's population are mainly people in their working age (19-35), with a narrower base for ages 0-15. Very few citizen are 65 and older.

2020: A prediction of Thailand's population in 2020. We can at the base (population under 15) are getting smaller and life expectancy is increasing for people who are 65 or older. The majority of Thailand's population is still predominately ages from 19-45.
2050: we can see some dramatic change in the pyramid. The base became even smaller meaning Thailand is experiencing negative growth. The majority of the population has shifted to ages 40-60. There is a huge difference between the female population versus male in ages 80 or older, with the female population higher than any age group.
